As the world’s last remaining grand duchy, Luxembourg is a tiny place of approximately 1,000 square miles. However, the small area packs an amazing amount into it. It is particularly popular with events organisers, with many corporate events taking place there each year.
Part of the draw of a conference venue in Luxembourg is the easy access. Occupying a central place in Europe geographically, it is easy for most Europeans to travel to. There are also plenty of flights each day into Luxembourg and the international airport is just 15 minutes outside of the centre of Luxembourg City, where there is plenty of accommodation for those staying overnight.
Luxembourg has three official languages — Luxembourgish, German and French. Many people in Luxembourg also speak good English, allowing most Europeans to communicate with ease.
Luxembourg is the perfect location for business events thanks to a wide variety of venues catering for corporate events and conferences of all sizes. These include HCCE’s Neimënster — a former seventeenth-century abbey which has also been a police station, a prison and a barracks, before becoming the unique event venue it is today.
Away from the conference there is something to entertain everyone, while the small size of the country means everything is within easy reach. Boat trips on the River Moselle take you through winegrowing country, with the opportunity for vineyard tours and wine tasting experiences. For thrill seekers, the countryside of Luxembourg offers plenty of outdoor adventures. While those who want to stay in Luxembourg City can explore the historic sites, including the famous Bock underground tunnels, before enjoying a meal in one of the city’s many restaurants.
