    OMNI festival is one of the highlights of the year at neimënstersince it started in 2004. The open-air event, which is held every year in July, takes place in the famous, stunning and sumptuous setting of the historic neimënster cliff.

    Located in the midst of Luxembourg’s oldest districts which are part of the Unesco World Heritage, neimënster dates back to the medieval time of 963 and Count Siegfried. Having survived and expanded through the centuries, today the centre is dedicated to cultural projects and provides at the same time a marvellous setting to stage seminars and discussion groups, company celebrations and other major events of a more social nature.

    Its been a very busy time at HCCE member venue neimënster in Luxembourg!

    Among many other events we hosted the “Lëtzebuerger Klimadag”, a one-day conference about climate changes and human rights, organised by Luxemburgish municipalities.

    The yearly poetry festival “Printemps des Poètes” attracted many literature enthusiasts; poets from all over the world were invited to read their poems.

    The Embassy of the Republic of Latvia celebrated the first Latvian EU Presidency with dance and folk groups, concerts, exhibitions, and a theater play at neimënster in Luxembourg.

    Neimenster MF-Konf-3For us at neimënster - Centre Culturel de Rencontre Abbaye de Neumünster, the year 2014 was filled with exciting events and some innovations, including the successful open-air music festival OMNI, which attracted more than 10,000 visitors, the European Microfinance Week with workshops and seminars and some 400 participants, and the visit by German President Joachim Gauck during his three-day state visit to Luxembourg.

  • Neimënster to join MICE cluster


    Neimënster is proud to be part of a new cluster launched in October 2014 in Luxembourg.

    The MICE cluster (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions) will be a platform of collaboration between private and public stakeholders. The Ministry of Economy and some 20 companies and institutions active in the tourism and conference sector have signed an agreement to join their potential, share their expertise and structure a permanent exchange of information amongst them.

  • Comedy Festival for Peace at Neumünster Abbey


    Since 2007, this annual comedy festival is organized by Neumünster Abbey . However, the main theme goes beyond comedy with a distinct commitment to the topics of tolerance and respect, in the spirit of which the festival is dedicated to Iraqi comedian Walid Hassan, who was murdered in Bagdad in 2006.

    Piano Plus Festival at Neumünster Cultural Exchange Center

    The annual "Piano Plus Festival", hosted by the Neumünster Cultural Exchange Center in their beautiful Robert Krieps concert hall, aims to bring together some of the best pianists with other very talented instrumentalists. Started in 2008 by Jazz in Luxembourg (JAIL) and the Neumünster Cultural Exchange Center, the festival celebrates its 6th edition this year.

    In autumn, jazz invades the CCRN for one weekend: the former prison is the setting for the Autumn Leaves jazz festival, under the auspices of JAIL (Jazz in Luxembourg). Original performances, international artists as well as unusual encounters are on the agenda of this rich and diverse festival concocted with passion in order to seduce jazz aficionados.
